It is a famous Chinese fighting art, also called Kung Fu. The name wushu refers to the wu as “martial or military”, and shu means “fighting”. It was developed from Chinese martial arts in 1940. Wushu’s focal point is striking, throwing, grappling, explosive power, quickness, and relaxed movement. Wushu is played for a specific duration of time in the vicinity of a team of judges and coaches. Judges observe the efficiency for the whole time. They allocate scores to an individual or a team based on the amount of time taken, the errors committed, smoothness of the movements, the synchronization
and coordination between the participants in a team, the balance maintained, the rules decided to follow or broken, and other factors.
