Dr. Sudesh Kumar trained Poonam Khatri is a well-rounded champion in Various National and International championships. She is a 33-year old daughter of Haryana from Jhajjar District.

Khatri landed a job at the Sashastra Seema Bal, a unit of the Central Armed Police Forces of India, through a sports quota, and won medals at all-Indian police boxing tournaments. She also won the gold medal at World Police Games in 2013.
